Kat Neis is a poet and writer from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her work has appeared in Mid-American Review, Lake Effect, Peripheries, Zone 3, The Dodge, and others. She has been recognized by the Academy of American Poets and the Dyer-Ives Foundation, and was a finalist in the Tupelo Quarterly Poetry Prize judged by Major Jackson.

Kat is currently at work on her first full-length collection. She holds a B.A. in English from the College of Wooster with a minor in French and Francophone Studies.

In addition to her work as a professional writer and poet, Kat is very involved in youth empowerment in the literary arts. Since co-founding Siblíní Journal in high school, she has remained at the helm of the creative magazine, mentoring and supporting young artists across the globe.
